Place the lid on the jar, making sure it’s on tightly, and shake well until the color is combined. Due to the added moisture from the food coloring, this colored sugar can sometimes clump, and adding just a pinch (no more than ¼ teaspoon) of cornstarch to the mixture helps get rid of the clumping.
